Message from Anh Tho Andres

Anh Tho Andres is a professor in Marketing and Communication at UBIS University based in Geneva, Switzerland.

As a multilingual Translator and Interpreter, and Lecturer in Communication, Anh Tho understands the challenges faced by Professionals in a globalized Corporate World.

Students Guidelines - Class Schedules, Breaks and Attendances

Dear All,

Here a few points of UBIS guidelines to respect in class:

1. Breaks: one house of classroom time is composed of 50 minutes of contact time and 10 minutes of break. Students are required to respect the length of breaks. Consistently late students will be referred to the Dean and not allowed to continue the specific class session.

2. Attendance:  Attendance are registered for each class, and is part of grading determinants. Students are expected to attend all classes of their courses. After two missed classes students will be given a warning by the professor and must provide a justification for their absence. If absent for three classes of a course without a valid, written excuse, they will be considered to have withdrawn from the course with a WF (withdraw/failure).

Students of my class can send an email to announce their absence in advance to me via this blog. Exceptions can be accepted in case of emergencies: you may send an SMS to my handphone no. 077 936 9011 after class started. Thank you.

    Please make sure that you respect these guidelines on attendance and breaks. In case of absence, to notify me in advance to avoid penalties on your final grade.

    Dear All,
    Today is the last day for this module.
    I have not received your excuses for your absence, and would like to give you the last chance to notify me in writing for past absences with a valid excuse so that I can take into account when grading you for the final exam. My e-mail is anhtho@voipzone.ch.
