Anh Tho Andres is a professor in Marketing and Communication at UBIS University based in Geneva, Switzerland.

As a multilingual Translator and Interpreter, and Lecturer in Communication, Anh Tho understands the challenges faced by Professionals in a globalized Corporate World.

Communicating at Work (week 3)

Objectives:
1. Explain the role of communication in career success, providing examples to support your claims.
2. Apply the basic elements, the process and key principles of communication to a specific situation, showing how each one affects the outcome of the interaction.
3. Apply the concepts of ethical communication discussed here to once or more ethically challenging situations.
4. Describe how formal and informal communication networks operate in a given situation, and how you can use the most effective channels to accomplish your goals within an organisation.
5. Analyse the advantages and disadvantages or various face-to-face and electronic communication channels and choose the most appropriate and effective one for a given situation.
